Customers with a MoTeC VCS (Video Capture System) can now automatically synchronise their video footage with logged data in i2 Standard, quickly and easily without the need for additional hardware or a Pro upgrade.

The new Automated CAN Video/Data Synchronisation feature works by placing coded messages in both the video and data files, allowing them to be matched up automatically and aligned. When users open their data - in i2 Standard or i2 Pro - the corresponding VCS video footage will appear alongside, synchronised and permanently linked.

Viewing video and data together in this way is very effective for driver training and can also be useful as an adjudication tool for category managers.

An additional new i2 feature, GPS Time Alignment, is further assisting the officiating process by making precise alignment from multiple cars fast and simple. This is particularly important for incident investigation. Adjudicators can now compare footage from different in-car cameras at exactly the same point in time by simply opening the MoTeC data files, downloading the video and pressing the GPS Time Alignment button in i2. 

Customers can access these new features by downloading the latest VCS, i2 and Dash Manager software.
