Spread Spectrum

The MoTeC Spread Spectrum Telemetry system uses two spread spectrum radios, one mounted in the car and the other at a fixed location, often in the pits. The vehicle radio connects to the telemetry output of the ECU or data acquisition system. The pit radio connects to a PC which runs the MoTeC Telemetry Monitor software.

A mobile style antenna must be fitted to the outside of the car. If possible this should be in the middle of a large flat metal surface to provide a ground plane.
