MoTeC Europe – Internships on offer

MoTeC Europe Ltd is a subsidiary of MoTeC Pty Ltd, which is now a part of the Bosch Group.
We operate across Europe in the service areas of motorsports, EV and hybrid, off-highway, marine and e-mobility.
Our dynamic team develops customised electronic solutions for racing cars, motorcycles and commercial vehicles, as well as for industrial vehicles and watercraft, based on innovative, high-tech products from MoTeC.

We welcome applications from a range of candidates but please note that we require the successful candidate to have the right to work in the UK and Schengen Area countries from day one.

Internship Position 1: Motorsport Applications

Job Description

As a Motorsport Applications Intern within the team, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting Customer account engineers with project coordination and technical support
  • Backing the engineers with troubleshooting, system start up and testing.
  • Supporting the commercial processes and the acquisition of new projects
  • Aiding with market research efforts to identify new potential markets and customers
  • Configuration and calibration of the core MoTeC product range (ECU, display, power distribution, logging system etc.)
  • Carrying out maintenance and repair activities on MoTeC devices.

Qualifications

Essential Skills:

  • Automotive or mechanical engineering degree (Predicted 2:1 or higher)
  • Knowledge of engine hardware, combustion theory and thermodynamics for high-performance engines
  • Knowledge of direct injection and spark topics
  • Knowledge of network communication (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, Etc)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.K.

Desired Skills:

  • Active passion for motorsport
  • Programming knowledge (C, C++, C#, Matlab/Simulink)
  • Problem solving skills

Internship Position 2: E-Mobility Motorsport Applications

Job Description

As an E-Mobility Motorsport Applications Intern within the team, you will focus on development of vehicle control system and integration solutions for various electric vehicle (EV) and Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) projects. The main responsibilities for this role are as below:

  • Learn to program and work with MoTeC products such as M1, PDM and Dashes and their associated software development and calibration tools to be used in EV/HEV applications.
  • Work with Matlab/Simulink to design and develop EV/HEV control solutions.
  • Provide technical support to the current EV/HEV projects as required.
  • Provide technical support for testing, tuning and commissioning of the developed EV/HEV supervisory control systems as well as developing required documentation.
  • Develop electrical schematics for EV/HEV applications as required.
  • Create and implement the best practice engineering by studying/researching EV/HEV standards and industry benchmarks.
  • Aiding with market research efforts to identify new potential markets and customers.
  • Travel locally in UK as required.

Qualifications

Essential Skills:

  • A student in Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics engineering degree.
  • Knowledge of EV/HEV drivetrain systems such as HV battery, BMS, electric motor and inverters.
  • Matlab/Simulink programming knowledge
  • Knowledge of network communication (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, Etc)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.K.

Desired Skills:

  • Active passion for motorsport
  • Experience working with FSAE EV race teams
  • Programming knowledge (C, C++, C#)
  • Problem solving skills

Internship Position 3: Motorsport Business Operations

As a Motorsport Business Operations Intern within the team, you will be responsible for:

  • Support for our sales team and logistics on a day to day basis.
  • Analysis of sales data to assist with market trends and reporting.
  • Collaborate with the sales team by assisting customer and dealer communications.
  • Assist with stock management and coordinate deliveries.
  • Support the planning and execution of motorsport events and trade shows.
  • Support with documentation for business processes.
  • Support other business areas as required.

Qualifications

Essential Skills:

  • Business degree with relevant experience (Predicted 2:1 or higher)
  • Proficient in MS office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Able to use an integrated system like Sage, databases or other tools provided by the company to do your role.
  • Good presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Maintains a structured working approach with a strong focus on high-quality standards
  • Demonstrates keen assertiveness and ready to work under pressure, ensuring effective decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.K.

Desired Skills:

  • Active passion for business, sales and motorsport
  • Project management tool experience
  • Strategic thinking and business development skills
  • Experience FSAE team highly regarded

Additional information
These are 12-month internships beginning in July 2026. The positions are open to undergraduates or Masters students who are required to partake in a work placement as part of their course.
Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to participate in an online interview by the hiring team.

You must have the right to live and work in the UK when you start your placement and for the full duration of your placement.
Please note your placement must be directly relevant to your course to comply with visa requirements.
